Riga public transport tickets most frequently bought at retail outlets

Tickets for Riga public transport are most frequently bought at "Narvesen" and "Plus Punkts" outlets, according to an opinion poll carried out by "Rīgas satiksme" on its website in February.

77% of respondents buy tickets at "Narvesen", 8% at "Plus Punkts", and 2% at "Preses apvienība" outlets.

Then follows "Rīgas satiksme" with its outlets and ticket machines, which are favourite ticket buying options for 4% and 3% of respondents, accordingly.

1% buy tickets in "Latvia Post" offices, another 1% from booking offices of "Pasažieru vilciens" in Riga railway stations, and 1% prefer the e-shop of e-ticket at http://etalons.rigassatiksme.lv.

3% say they buy one-trip tickets from driver most frequently.

More than 3 200 visitors of the "Rīgas satiksme" website participated in the opinion poll in February, this year.

Also in February, the website of "Rīgas satiksme" was visited more than 640 000 times, transport news were requested more than 1.5 million times, but information about public transport schedules available at http://saraksti.rigassatiksme.lv was requested more than 4 million times.
